Hi. I'm Tiffy, and this is my project of passion, Little Yellow Journal.
I didn't know what to put on an "about" page.
I've danced around the idea of an about blog feed for too long, so now, it's time to just do it.
From a cute wellness habit to a powerful tool of embodied philosophy.

When I start gratitude journaling....
I knew I didn't want some froufrou gratitude journal where I'd force myself to write cutesy things, pretending I actually believed them.
I wrote what I could actually stand by.
In the absence of a true sense of "gratitude" , I started listing things that didn't completely suck.
Then, that evolved to...
Looking forward to the things that didn't suck.
That evolved to notice things I actually liked.
That evolved to appreciating things.
That evolved to looking for good things.
That evolved to expecting good things.
Now, goodness and blessings feel as typical as blinking my eyes.
Serendipity greets me regularly.
Little Yellow Journal Explores:
What power is in this perspective shifting?
What else can be done with it?
What powers does language have?
Can believes be altered with journaling?
Can limitation be transmuted into possibility?
Can can these skills be applied practically for work and school?
How can others learn these skills?
What terminology is needed to explore journaling as an art and philosophical practice?
What insights can I share?
What could my journal do for others?
I've created a lexicon on this site, highlighting phenomenon I've experienced that are directly tied to journaling. By creating centralized language, I can better locate patterns and relationship between different journaling styles. Keeping it "living" grants it the oh so very necessary space to evolve and expand.
My own journal entries to serve as examples of the phenomenon I'm describing in the lexicon. They provide additional context for those who prefer more anchoring.
Closing Thoughts
LYJ is many beautiful things and is constant expansion. Continuity is an inherent trait of this site.
Than you for being here, thank you for journaling. ❤️
